Before bibles, there were still good and bad people. That's all I have ever needed to know.

There are remote communities, I've been told, where there are no words of punishment because straying from the village, or not listening to the elders means death. None of them had bibles or had heard of this western god bloke

Another bloody word salad. Too much time on your hands and too idle to do anything with it. Churches are just status symbols; the people in them have no self value, and the Truth is there's no truth beyond the reason we are all here. And that reason is our own selfish way forward in the world...all action is selfish action. A few acknowledge that Truth most deny it.

i know of only One selfless altruistic trancendental example of love ,,, " forgive them Father they know what they do " let us become the "prodigal sons " and return to goodness truth and love... all thanks to whom it belongs...

So this is really mostly Greek thought. Unil Constantine no gospels existed as gospels. A complex narrative actually since antiquity does not conform to our notions at all. The Hebrews had multiple sects. And they borrowed from Egypt and Persia. Alexandria saw the codification of the Torah by Greek Hebrews. And Christianity also see’s the imprint of every culture it touches. In the end I feel what we see is very different orientation of thought than we have today after the printing press and organized large sects backed by State power.

all true what you write ... may i add ,the orthodox greeks mention " the desert fathers " ie solitary monks in the desert and their spiritual experiences , also the essenes, also the zoroastrian magi and others ... most organized religions are an attempt to organise their oral teachings into religions,,, Jesus could have written stuff but he didnt , he examplified before he spoke ,,, action speakes louder , also truth cant be taught but caught then spoken , problems arise here because our poweres of discernment are also corrupted , therefore i / we have to pray for the to good God to enlighten our my darkness, " ask it will be given "{ knock it will be opened " " I am " stand by the door waiting "

From curiosity which two divinities and which culture of original revelation? Humanity has had dying and resurrecting divinities before Constantine among the Greeks. I have not looked into this area since high school so my memory goes dimly back to the Golden Bough. I agree that dying to please God is not explicable other than professing a faith and being murdered for holding it. Though in saying this Candida Moss did excellent work on Christan martyrdom being largely fiction

to me God is the wellspring of all that is good [ philokalia "their are many examples of sacrificial love among us humans ,,, ie mothers fathers will die to save their childern , solders will sacrifice themselves to save their war friends etc . i tend to shy away from religous politics

Who said that? Who, at the site wrote it down? If it was said, who was it said for? Return to whose truth? My two gods didn't have anyone die on a cross. My gods didn't need any to forgive them or offered forgiveness to anyone. My two gods were gods before your god was being spoken of. And my two gods never, ever, asked anybody to die for them.

The Mother Goddess could be the principle example for humans-pre Comet. Then a wrathful sky god-male divinity. I have not read Raine Eisler but she strikes me as a thinker looking into human thought. https://youtu.be/UUF5XWOxVdY

He returned some time ago, and no one was worthy of saving, so He left. Or I am wrong, and He is Trump. I've said that before. Some people are unhappy when I suggest the former. My mother was a one-issue voter. She was unmarried, still in high-school when I was conceived. I think she has regrets. Later, she remarried and became a church lady, Sunday School teacher, Baptist, but remained a one-issue voter. I don't have children. If you ask me why, it just never happened. I'm surprised by those who are surprised that a child of a childless person has never been terminated. I voted for your post. Sometimes you vote for the comments. It's kinda like mutual self-gratification, then, isn't it?

In the end simply we went after the ice age in the wrong direction and Dominator culture triumphed. Transhumanism is the silly end result. A handful of old men dying seek immortality by machine. Any road to this end they choose. Clinical insanity rides mankind as a horse. Men choose not to throw the rider.

how intelligent and discerning are those who buy the temporal hedonistic pleasures of this transitory world with their immortality,,, it has got to be the most insane imbacilic "deal" offered by satan [in the known and unknown universe]

may i add ...fallen human nature

So this too needs a bit of unpacking. The fallen nature of man is true. Encoded by myth we apprehend the deep past was very different. Only very recently has the depth of the past opened. Maybe during the ice age -before the comet hit and created havoc manunkind was closer to Godliness. Terence McKenna has very interesting observations on human development. Based on his work with plants and Amazonian peoples.

the "vedic" explain all these occurances by their depiction of the 4 ages ie golden age ,silver age ,and iron age , which is the darkest of all ,,, shortest life span , pain , very limited mental ability to percieve truth, corruption etc etc

Today I read that on Mt. Arat the outlines of what may be a ship are seen but decaying after exposed to air after being encased in ice. Of course speculation is Noah's Ark. And perhaps so, perhaps this object was discussed in antiquity and became the basis of the tales of a ship surviving a flood.
