for a while i had an old school record player.

I played me some Mitch Ryder.

I am from just outside Detroit, and I would

still play the Mitch Ryder if that

record player had lasted.....Detroit is a

pretty good town for music, but a bit

harsh otherwise. Note recent Flint residents

killed for their exposing of the Flint Water

Crisis exposing. Young people, who were even

younger when they did the work of exposing

it. Flint. They made a stand, it was brave.

I liked MC5. MC5 earned national attention with their first album, Kick Out the Jams, recorded live on October 30 and 31, 1968, at Detroit's Grande Ballroom. Elektra executive Jac Holzman and producer Bruce Botnick recognized that MC5 were at their best when playing for a receptive audience. :) Very sad regarding Flint. The times are such that the Borg hive mind is worse than Lido Anthony "Lee" Iacocca. Fauci say. The benefit ofCovid for the Borg so much greater than a Pinto.

I felt right at home in Arabia in November.

I was comforted with the familiarity of the COVID sign in and social distance signs.

They were as homely as the Macdonald s and Starbucks.

Enjoyed also the writ large pledges to diversity and inclusion.

Nothing to worry, wherever one goes one is among friends.

Speaking of barbarians in his book After Virtue Alasdair MacIntyre pointed out that the barbarians have for quite some time been (ruling) within the walls of the citadel.

We now have a situation wherein a religious and culturally illiterate nihilistic barbarian in the form of the Orange Haired Monstrosity was the President of the US, and quite possibly may be re-elected too.

Huge numbers of right-wing Christian true believers are (and were) more than enthusiastic about this.

The Orange Haired Monstrosity belongs squarely within the Showbiz tradition of there- is-a-sucker-born-every-minute showbiz tradition of P T Barnum. Barnum was of course- there are thousands of such suckers born every minute
