So true. Just thinking about it all, it feels like we've been catapulted into some weird reality. Like, I know it's true but, it seems so unreal because I can't believe/accept that it is factual. The scope of it paired with gravest possible consequences is, to me impossible to accept. It's sort of cognitive dissonance I feel. Can't explain really. Have been thinking how, when the 2nd WW was brewing but the populations at large were unaware of the impending catastrophe. They were like: "yeah...but..." busy with their daily lives (and, of course with very limited access to information) until it happened. Maybe like today? A bit? We're obviously dealing with a total, global, planned and orchestrated operation on a scale never seen before. That much my simple mind can see yet, when it comes to accepting it it seems beyond my cognitive ability. I suspect I'm not the only one. Thank you Stegiel, I enjoy your essays.
