I was thinking of Grant and Lee and started laughing, A revision of Thurber’s comedy short story of that fateful meeting. Grant in that telling was so drunk he offered his sword to Lee. In my tale the Russians are to surrender on the Volga but Mr. Z is so coked out he surrenders instead.
My experience of Moscow over the last few years is that it is just as woke as Paris or Berlin and maybe even more so. They also fingerprint and faceid you at the airport.

So...Russia has responded, clearly so close to the border of Poland and Eastern Europe, as an indication for NATO not to proceed further. Quite telling.
