Americans buy excuses for anything because somehow they’re of such a high level of intelligence they just “knew it!” They don’t need to reason when excuses are fine. Undoubtedly the current administration will whitewash most of their ineptitude by simply blaming the pandemic. As though the pandemic had a life of its own and the fallout just sort of happened or was unavoidable. And you know what? Millions of Americans will believe them.
