Of course not because the system has its own unstoppable cybernetic momentum, and everything is seemlessly inter-related. No one is in charge and no one can do anything about it.

And as Robert Zimmerman famously said - Something is happening and you do not know what it is, do you mister Jones (Cairn Stegiel, yours truly (me) etc etc..................................etc)

Meanwhile check out this 1985 essay re our essentially one-dimensional attempts to try to understand the shifting ground or cultural landscape under our , or in front of our eyes.

Giving people 'free' stuff usually works out quite badly, if they feel no sense of personal investment or worth. This need not be money per se. The shack on the street has more intrinsic value in this sense.
