(sigh) I hit the 'like' button with a heavy hand. Your prose is poetry, but closer to Chris Hedges on a dark nght than Charles Eisenstein at high noon, or Katherine Watt at dusk. But worse ... also closer to truth. Lingering sanity, staring into the abyss. I see it too, and struggle to hold back the despair.

Yes, since I am a Californian by birth I relate to these observations. I feel deep terror for what has been wrought in California. California was always a trendsetter but we have payed an extraordinary high price for their success in failing to understand basic right from wrong. Think my seven year old grandsons are more capable of telling right from wrong - at least when I take all the water guns, light sabers and screens away.
