Are these people crazy? We cannot risk WWIII by allowing US or NATO weapons used by Ukraine blasting into Russia! I’m not a soldier but I remember playing war in our backyard when I was 10. These so called people in NSA need to back off! End the war; don’t stir it up. Use common sense. I’m calling on President Trump. Remember how there was peace in the world during his administration? I do.
"The Russian leader's latest red line on support for Kyiv came ahead of President Joe Biden's meeting with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer in Washington on Friday"
And this is eerily like Yalta and how a dementia-suffering FDR gave most of Europe to a different Russian dictator.
On September 12, 2024, Vladimir Putin said of the potential use of NATO Long-range weapons against Russia: "If they do that, NATO is officially at war with Russia "
I called their bluff a month ago. I hope American military uses long-range missiles against Russia, and I hope Russia retaliates not only destroying Ukrainian governmental buildings but also bombing facilities in the UK, Germany, and Brussels. I wish they would send a missile to Montreal and Washington, D.C.
I'm tired of their charade. I'm tired of their game. Pull the trigger, boys. I'm calling you...as in poker.
No...I don't want nuclear war, but I won't be a pawn pulled and destroyed with emotional spurts of adrenaline hitting my system because I fear my own government actions or the actions of another government. I won't live in fear.
Pull the trigger, boys. I'm ready, but I bet like hell you aren't.
Russia may choose to not retaliate against a Western state. This is the most fascinating aspect of the War. Calculations of power. Russia may decide the cost is too great for retaliation and responds in other ways.
Could be, Stegiel. I never write to expound one POV only. I'm always open to debate. I suspect they will retaliate because, otherwise, their only choice is absorption into the U.S.A.-World Order...which means neutering them as a nation with LGBT+ agendas and open borders.
It is ironic...isn't it? Russia strenuously opposed from the time of the Maiden Revolution their borders subject to NATO missiles; extracted promises of no encroachments; and entered Ukraine to dissuade exactly what the U.S. has now so decisively effectuated. Russia's greatest fear has come true.
The interesting development which I see is Russia allying with China and Iran (possibly North Korea). The U.S. recently only became upset upon determining that Iranian long-range missiles had been delivered to Russia. This delivery may be the deterrent this time.
Another Substack suggested that, if pressed against the wall, Russia would resort to nuclear warfare. I think this possibility is an option, too. The Russians are tough fighters, and the Russian people have undergone wars, famines/starvation, and colossal governmental overreach. The U.S. is untested. I hope, if there is a war, that it's a good one. "Go for broke" would be my motto.
How interesting!! "New Lies for Old." I've bookmarked both and honestly don't promise to read them for a while. We're cooling off here in the desert, and I should be able to re-start my sorting and repacking for a move next year. My time on computer may be severely restricted at some point. Thank you anyway!
I may have found the answer to what's really happening. Wrote this post elsewhere. Thought you might be interested. I was mistaken. Iran delivered short-range and not long-range missiles.
"The only outcry which I recently heard from the U.S. was in response to Iran shipping short-range ballistic missiles to Russia. I wondered if the current deliberations in Washington on whether or not to allow long-range missiles to strike deep in Russia might be their response. I found an article in "The Christian Science Monitor" which made this point. https://www.csmonitor.com/World/Middle-East/2024/0912/iran-ballistic-missiles-russia-backfire
The article shows what I've long maintained. The wars both in Ukraine and Middle East are carefully orchestrated by the U.S.:
'In the Middle East, Washington’s goal has long been to dissuade Iran, and the Iranian-armed Hezbollah militia in Lebanon, from actions that could widen the war in Gaza.
In Ukraine, it has been to arm Kyiv against Russia’s invasion – but without risking the kind of further Russian escalation that could draw NATO countries directly into the conflict.'
Looks like the short-range Iranian missiles have thrown a wrench into the works. U.S. may have to either tolerate Iran supplying Russia with missiles or allow Ukraine to fire long-range missiles into Russia, which Russia will not tolerate.
Iranian short-range missiles, which are precision missiles and not the old Soviet-style missiles Russia has been reduced to using, might well end the Ukraine War in Russia's favor.
I also wonder about Israel's targeting an Iranian missile production facility in Syria last Sunday. Would that serve as sufficient retaliation against Iran for sending short-range missiles to Russia? Israel flew in ground forces for the strike. https://www.jpost.com/breaking-news/article-819803
'Israeli ground forces targeted an Iranian missile production facility in Syria during a strike this week attributed to Israel, according to Middle East expert Eva J. Koulouriotis, who specializes in jihadist groups and cited a security source. Koulouriotis wrote on X that special Israeli forces entered the facility, removed equipment, and then destroyed the site.'
The arrival of Iranian short-range missiles appeared to be confirmed around Sept. 7 while the Israeli attack occurred Sept. 8."

I haven’t looked it up recently but I think James Thurber had a short story When Grant Met Lee and Grant at Appomattox was so drunk he surrendered.

Yes all interconnected, if the USSR never collapsed but underwent Restructuring why was this permitted? It was. See New Lies For Old. https://archive.org/details/NewLiesForOld. Or https://www.tldm.org/news4/cibulka.htm
