Indeed. This in turn is truth spoken unvarnished. Everything presents itself as described. As I mentioned man destroyed his inner light. We might say if not before Didion wrote Slouching Towards Bethlehem then at the moment she wrote.

I saw the news piece and calmly await doom. Sexual libertinage has consequences. Mankind is polymorphously perverse. Per Oxford dictionary- characterized by a generalized sexual desire that can be excited and gratified in many ways, typical in young children but "unusual" (really?) in adults: "the impulses of an infantile polymorphously perverse character"
