No, Governments evolve to understand force, their own will, riches, power and of course war. When we look deeply we see a betrayal at the heart of the intersection between any spiritual teachings or religion and any state or system of government(s). We as citizens are offered false choices which lead to leaders gaining absolute power. Our Revolutionary ancestors while not always the brightest did at least understand our responsibility as citizens to identify and stop the power which would destroy us. We and they failed.
