I am still waiting for the time, as predicted by some, that the unjabbed will be preferred for employment, because we tend not to become ill and/or drop dead quite so often. [Sound of fingers drumming....]

Did you ever see the highly strange art film Liquid Sky? A scene in the film comes to mind about waiting. I would wait - till thirty, till forty, till fifty. And I was taught that to be an actress, one should be fashionable, and to be fashionable is to be ...

I frankly think the system will collapse before the unvaccinated or the old like me are hired. Stupidity and conformity are how this vile system perpetuates itself hour by hour. This election coming is perfect example. Which master ought to whip you into obedience, a lunatic Democrat or a conformist lunatic? I know one side seems more evil. This seems self evident. One doubts. One body two heads. Both speak the same word.

Ah, did see that movie, but 30+ years ago or more.....so it's on the list for movie night. The other movie that comes to mind, re waiting, is The Hunger, David Bowie waiting in the doctors office, getting older and older by the minute literally. Like now, the weapons they are using on us are observed to visibly age us in short order. All these movie plots, telling us the plan. But it was just entertainment......?! As for the election, agreed, color me purple. At least I have plum wine in the vat.

AIPAC OFFICIALLY SURPASSES $100,000,000 SPENT ON 2024 ELECTION

AIPAC Officially Surpasses $100 Million in Spending on 2024 Elections The American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) has spent more than $100 million on federal elections so far this cycle, according to a review of the latest FEC data. AIPAC’s PAC has spent $44.8 million as of the end of July, according to the FEC, with $42 million given to the campaigns of members of Congress and other candidates, as well as to party groups and leadership PACs. The vast majority of AIPAC PAC’s spending has come in the form of earmarked donations made by individuals in the United States who support the pro-Israel group. Did the Democrats give it to them?

Given the Isreal love that all the candidates and their running mates support, (overtly or covertly), and entities such as AIPAC, it's easy to see that really we and Isreal are just one country, separated by a bit of water. Both creating hell on earth, with great success. Wouldn't it be 'funny' if the migrants turned on both? Oh wait, they have.

I rewatched the film last month. It was mostly as I recalled. I both liked it originally and found it uneven. At the time seeing it originally I was an aspiring script writer in Sacramento. 25.

I am 30 min in....I don't seem to remember the dialogue, but do remember the visuals and music themes....(sounds a bit like the Residents did the soundtrack, but they did not far as I can see....)

But the dystopia, now I see it. All the trappings of leading us in a certain dark direction...with much acclaim. Cold chill....

When did the Haight embrace

The Suits

The Man

The establishment

The Medical Establishment

They are no longer liberal

They are The DC Establishment Puppets that so long ago, was loathed.

To be honest at the outset. The merchants of the Haight were owned by downtown sorts. Not the kids. Emmet Grogan (Digger) writes about this although he tells a tall tale about his own life.

I wish. I visited a friend of my girl friend at the time (1991) who was from PA. She lived outside of Boulder. About ten miles I think. The area had a few luxury houses but she lived in an 1880's cabin. Outhouse. Carried in water from a well. Bedroom, doubling as kitchen and her pottery studio. High Romanticism I must say. The urban wilderness is less attractive to me than once it was. The few places I have scouted overseas and in the States cost much more than I pay my existence. I see some spots in Mexico that are nearly as inexpensive. My rent is still under $900 for downtown on Nob Hill in a studio. I have a Community Garden plot 1/2 block away. If I had income this could be idyllic. And wherever I go I have no money. So Grad Student poverty at 67 in this ultra-urban setting by the Bay and Pacific is tolerable. My friends urge me to relocate to the hellish heat of Sacramento and the studio apartments are double my rent. Can't Find My Way Home. https://youtu.be/8L82II1lNjo

For 900 a month you could get a Swiss Chalet on 20 acres next to a trout stream, in my neck of the woods, lol.

Man up and enjoy the seasons. That's one thing I always found disorientating about the Bay Area, no seasons except Fogust.

Been a while since I gave them an ear. Summer in the City was fun. Do You Believe In Magic of course. Busted for drugs in '66. I was 9 in '66 and 100 miles from San Francisco and my transistor ear was tuned to Dr. Don Rose of KFRC AM. 610 on the radio dial. In fact I listened to the Summer of Love on KFRC. Probably why I am still here in SF since 1987.
