What a beautiful poem.

Please send more like this anytime.

May eventually inspire a move back to where streams and crickets are the night sound instead of urban machines.

Thanks. I have little life to no country life. All California suburb or City. Carmel is magic as being both.

Yes, Carmel still does have a touch of the wilderness feeling. Thanks to the foresight of whoever made laws to prevent further development of the California shore.

I'd like to spend time simply walking long distance through many of these places that have always passed too quickly by in a car.

I would as well. I knew a man who hiked from Southern California to Eugene in 1997. He was the brother of the bride at a wedding I attended.

I met a couple on their way bicycling through Asia - they had already been through China and Thailand, and were on their way down south. Seems like the most natural way to experience being human on the planet.

I write on Substack to be able to sleep. On Thanksgiving 1,000 days of the Emergency of the Big Lie will have come and no one in authority breaks rank and instead triples down on the Big Lie.
