I have so much respect for Eric, this man of Christ, real estate seller turned activist/journalist. Every day his videos highlight survivors, saviors, and expose more undue government overreach. Yesterday, driving to a fire victim's funeral, he pulled off the road where there's nothing but vast open public land. "Authorities" approached like vultures instructing he couldn't park there. It took about 30 minutes and I think 6 officers (dressed as sherrif's dept) until they find one who could tell him, kind of, why he wasn't allowed to be in that area. They never answered his questions nor gave him their details. They don't even know their own narratives. Eric left with a ticket and a court date. I am excited to know how he will present himself to the court in a jurisdiction which currently has no idea how to respect citizens. His experience has made him more determined than ever to find the truth.
I watched the vid. Eric is a throwback to my country as a child, I would even say the 60's and 70's in contrast to the 80's and on. What I like most is his Si se puede attitude.
‼️Eric has been FIRED from his job! One person on Instagram has been lying about what he's doing with the money he's helping raise. He helped raise $1M, unfortunately via GoF*Me which is slow and untrustworthy. Eric and his family have received numerous death threats, and a video he posted a few hours ago will be his last (he said). I certainly won't be giving Keller-Williams any of my business 🤬
A few hours later he posted a new video explaining he was at a moment of weakness and regrets posting his previous video. His tone was more optimistic, and he seemed more rested. He described one of the worst complaints made towards him, and says he didn't intend to vilify his employer. He has also learned how untrustworthy GoF*Me is and switched fund raising to GiveSendGo. He has done so much good for west Maui. He needs much emotional support and prayers.
Good. I watched the prior video. I feel for him. He is sincere and acting as a Christian ought. Smart to not defame KW. Non Profit status interesting. I understand why but for what he is doing there can be reasons to possibly partner with an existing entity.
Eric is a one man marketing machine as well. Brilliantly he has several plans. One is very close to my heart from my TecNICA days. Come visit (Maui is open) bring help if you can, help if you can while there, protest if you can with Maui residents, have an activist vacation!
The fire fund he started online is over $300,000 and using the internet with Venmo etc Maui residents will get their money. Then lastly, a Concert for Maui with some big names to raise money---$3.5 billion they estimate is needed-to BUY THE MORTGAGES in the burn zone and prevent the real estate vultures from swooping up the land.
Some is owned outright, some is mortgaged. Real Estate on the island is irrational to an extent, costs of ownership are comparable to SF Bay Area without work. And by the overall US bubble in Real Estate. And obviously not only natives lost homes.

Eric West is a one man NGO.

It's what you call a *suspicious fire*.
The more they do the cover up the more it moves into that the perps are actually admitting it.
Does insurance pay out on deliberately lit fires.
I wonder what the non billionaire locals are saying.
The problem will be that the spotlight will go off this as time passes.

If the land has been owned by the same native families for generations how come there are bank mortgages to pay.
The Maui local authorities will no doubt put really high property taxes on the land to further force people off.
Some owners are bound to sell out.

What is being done behind the fences.
I guess that the official story will be that it's too gruesome for the public to see human remains.
Yes that is right. Cultural sensitivity. No drones allowed either, no cars allowed on side of road. Nothing to see, move along.
Deleting the census figures so they can make up whatever number of deaths they want. 666 maybe.
I wondered who owned the amazingly "untouched" hotel.
