I have read parts. I was a huge PKD fan back when he was a complete unknown ACE double novel author. I am a huge fan of his mainstream rejected books now in print. Confessions of a Crap Artist is far superior to that other Marin county novel made into a movie about hot tubs. The Serial.

Perception and attention are constrained to the point where our experience becomes linear. Why? Because ordinary thinking is linear and we experience ourselves and the world around us through the lense of our thinking.
Perhaps no special consciousness is required to experience the realms of Divinity and Creation. Impartial attention can access a miracle of simultaneous impressions among the higher sensations if it is allowed to act directly, unimpeded by the thinker.

This is akin to clearing the palate before tasting a fine wine. Content is provided by the many forms of sensing that open up my experience. Perhaps then, regeneration.
Well the special part is indeed consciousness. Gurdjieff and many others discuss awareness and paying attention. So some effort is indicated. Evidently open eyes are as you correctly observe shut down by the Left Hemisphere thinking.
You could just feed the cows a bit of coriander plant. I am making up a coriander beer this week. What I don't understand is why they dont instead propose hooking up every cow to some kind of tube to collect the methane, and get rich off that. As ridiculous.
