As a retired teacher I can say that bad homework is worse than no homework.

As the husband of a California teacher who worked until 79 as a sub, bad schools are worse than both and the people don’t care. Hell my mother went to school in rural KY. in a one room school house and that was coal country. Kids graduated reading and writing.

Yes, rural areas get crapped on as being full of rubes, but from what I can see in the 21st century the vast amount if appalling ignorance comes from urban areas.

For example, I am lucky my rural area has one of the best classical public radio stations in the world in Interlochen.

Since 1966 this Golden State my home. Parents came West in a VW bug with a luggage rack that hissed cross country. Wound up in Sacramento area. Moved to SF to escape.

Some got six month some got one solid.

For the ones that live to adulthood, once they figure out that they cannot reproduce, they may become less contributory to overall systems. Just a guess.
