Other Substack writers actually report some substance from the interview, not merely belittle the host who went out on a limb to finish what he started 3 years ago. He is no longer under bondage and answers to no one.

The premise I think is false in regards to any media person going rouge. What do we gain by the scripted interview? Who really cares? Do you have any say over atomic war? Does Tucker?

“Technique encompasses the totality of present-day society,” wrote Ellul. “Man is caught like a fly in a bottle. His attempts at culture, freedom, and creative endeavour have become mere entries in technique’s filing cabinet.”

I've only known boys to use this word. I understand it's offensive, but other than that it means nothing to me.

Perhaps showing my age but the fact is in Obama days and before the saying was “You can’t cuck the Tuck.”😆

Ok, never heard that one but I think I get what you're saying now. I'm definitely old enough, but I tuned out during the Barry days as I was 40+ with a toddler.

I am not a TV listener/viewer with any frequency. I read. I believe the last real attention I held for the mass media was 9/11, and then Gulf War 1. Even then only for a few days. And today I am astonished Max Headroom doesn't deliver the news nibbles.

So, basically, the narrative put forward by this blog regarding the SMO is as follows:

the real reason for the invasion of Ukraine was an inter-oligarchic spat

Putin wanted to rescue and restore his personal friend and adopted family member Medvedchuk to political power

Kiev is ruled by God’s Chosen and the women underlings that they hire who believe in neoliberalism and gender communism, not by Nazis

There isn’t a single Nazi in power in Zelensky’s cabinet or in the rada

The Donbass ran Ukraine as the political and economic power center for many years

Many of the same non-Russian Donbass crime families still run politics in the newly annexed territories and in Kiev as well

Putin essentially restored Ukraine’s sovereignty and signed a Minsk 3 several months into the SMO

Putin agreed to rent Crimea from Kiev and Donbass was probably to be reintegrated into Ukraine like Minsk I and II were supposed to do

More importantly, Putin’s oligarch buddies from the east would have their rights and assets restored

He embarked on this special policing operation because he got a green-light from Langley and assurances that they would not interfere

This turned out to be untrue, and Putin got tricked, as he likes to whine and remind us

Washington had not expected Putin’s SMO to be so haphazard and weak, but saw a golden opportunity to turn Ukraine into an Afghanistan for Russia

Both sides largely being unprepared led to the chaos of the first months and really the first year of the SMO which had turned into a Not-War (illegal to say “war” in Russia)

NATO, however, has gradually been arming up and preparing to take this fight to the next level

Russia under Putin, in contrast, has shown that they are unserious and weak and unable to mobilize the country

The Kremlin has had to rely on feudal warlords like Kadyrov and Prigozhin and other mercenary groups instead of on a national army like Ukraine can

Ukrainian-style repression in Russia has begun, with both left-wing and right-wing critics of the Kremlin’s Not-War being silenced

The real Kremlin now is to cobble together a N/S Korea style divide with a DMZ zone

This plan is half-baked and impossible to pull off because of Russia’s understaffed military

Kiev will go on the offensive again once they reorganize, raise more men and secure more funds

I’ve written about all these points extensively.

Now, the interview with Putin that Tucker did was total propaganda nonsense for several reasons. The first and most important reason is one that I have heard no one bring up yet, which is a sad reflection on the state of modern political commentary indeed.

What Putin blathered on about had nothing to do with real world modern-day Slavlands politics.

Putin spent an hour lecturing Tucker about the Duchy of Lithuania and the Holocaust. Talking about ancient history is the perfect way to obfuscate the pertinent policy details that actual informed citizens need to be able to understand what is really going on. In fact, that is why Putin launched into his history lesson — to change the subject of “what does denazification mean” and to tire Tucker out with nonsense.

If he really wanted to inform the Western dissident audience that Tucker represents, he could have explained what “neo-Ukraine”, this fabricated entity cobbled together after the implosion of the USSR really is and how it was really run and for what reason.

So, did Putin explain the birth-pangs of the modern neo-Ukrainian state? Did he comment on the assassination campaign carried out by President Kuchma and his anti-Russian policies? No? Why not? Have you even heard of Kuchma and why he is important? You haven’t? And yet you have an opinion on neo-Ukraine? Well, let’s just say you should read up first. And this is a perfect opportunity to do so seeing as I’ve written about it in great depth.

Tucker is enormously popular.

Being so popular comes with it's own limitations.

One can't appeal to the masses without always catering to their tastes.

I think Tucker is good as an entry level for the skeptical and one hopes that those people keep up the search.

I found that people would listen to Tucker when they could not bear to listen to a *conspiracy theorist*.

Putin said that when he was a young man he saw a lot of Hungarians in the Ukraine.

I wonder if they were Jewish Hungarian.

All quite odd but probably not odd to the people involved.

Yes quite a few unless adult diapers. The interview is not improv theater. Tucker has no smartness to ask the clever questions nor would his audience wait for answer. The drama is for consumption and diversion. In my humble opinion Big Media (Tucker is Big Media) is run on the Star system -eyeballs grab well known personalities-and after all is said and done nothing is new except the chit chat and this in both nations. Two Globalists chatting about the optiks for mass consumption. Russia is all in with the NWO -vaccine passports, 15 minute cities, Disease X, mass vaccinations and a profitable war in the Ukraine.

Yes Russia and Putin are all NWO but that doesn't stop them enjoying all the stuff they have always enjoyed.

Just as I know that money is a fiction of wealth and that it's all going to crash doesn't stop me hoarding it and spending my time looking for a bargain.

Life goes on same old until it doesn't.

Begging the question then of Opera.😂. My lifetime delight in NEWZ as propaganda is over the top now. “Everybody’s talking at me…”. From Covid to the latest iteration of Catastrophe (having lived it myself too recently) I am snarling and sarcastic and not scientific at all. The DADA/Surrealist roots triumph. The world is as it is today as the world was before now. Bloodier and bent on omnicide after Covid though so the change seems inevitable. Totalitarian collapse or a spiritual awakening. Muddling through it is also inevitable. Rilke—Who, if I cried out, would hear me among the Angels’

Orders? and even if one of them pressed me

suddenly to his heart: I’d be consumed

in his more potent being. For beauty is nothing

but the beginning of terror, which we can still barely endure,

and while we stand in wonder it coolly disdains

to destroy us. Every Angel is terrifying.
