Yes readying us to be hybrids if we live. I feel the gig might be up for mass vax. Not a day goes by without more reports of injuries. Fauci wants babies to be injected. Classic over reach. Of course culling a few billion over 5 years also catches up. Hard to know really how much longer this insanity can continue. UK is backing down.
Berdyaev. In Slavery and Freedom, writes: The face of man is the summit of the cosmic process, the greatest of its offspring, but it cannot be the offspring of cosmic forces only; it presupposes the action of a spiritual force, which raises it above the sphere of the forces of nature. The face of man is the most amazing thing in the life of the world; another world shines through it. It is the entrance of personality into the world process, with its uniqueness, its singleness, its unrepeatability. Max Picard, a Swiss psychiatrist whose book The Human Face has earned him renown as the poet of the human face, states that God enters mans face as a friend enters the house of a friend—without a stir. The face, for Picard, is a tempered image; it is the mildness of God that appears in the face of man.
Agamben writes All living creatures move in a space that we call public, they reveal themselves and they communicate with each other, but only humans have a face, only humans make their appearance and their communication with other humans to their own basic experience, only humans make their face to the place of their own truth.
What the face reveals and unveils cannot be put into words, cannot be formulated in this or that meaningful sentence. In his own face, a person unconsciously puts him/herself at risk, in the face, in front of the word, he/she expresses and reveals himself/herself. And what the face expresses is not only the state of mind of an individual, but above all his openness, his nakedness and his/her understanding with other people.
That is why the face is the place for politics. If there is no politics for animals, it is only because animals, who are always in “public”, do not make a problem of their exposure, they simply linger in it without caring. That is why they are not interested in mirrors, in the image as an imitation. Humans, however, want to recognize and be recognized themselves, they want to appropriate their own image, they seek their own truth in it. In this way they transform the open into one world, into the realm of a continuous political dialectic.
If people always and exclusively only had information that they could share with each other, always this or that, there would never be any real politics, only an exchange of messages. But since people must first of all communicate their willingness to be open, i.e. their pure ability to communicate, to each other, the face is the real condition of politics, the one in which everything that people say and the true exchange is founded. In this sense, the face is the true city of the people, the political element par excellence. By looking at the face, people recognize each other and are almost passionate for each other; they perceive similarity and diversity, distance and closeness.
A country that decides to give up its own face to cover the faces of its citizens with masks everywhere is thus a country that has erased all political dimensions from itself. In this empty space, which is subject to unlimited control at all times, there now move isolated individuals who have lost the immediate and sensitive foundation of their community and can only exchange messages addressed to a faceless name. To a faceless person.
We mask my darlings to virtue signal our loyalties as COMMANDED by law.
Apropos kitten comments: animals signal their intentions and character in their faces. Signal it to humans, their own species, and their prey or predators.
(Just had our dog lunge at our rabbit.)
I, perhaps reprehensibly, wear a mask at the grocery store. I obviously will succumb to masking in order to eat. I feel such an idiot that I always look around to check that incredibly the shop is full of similar idiots.
Generally with shopping a certain amount of interaction takes place, a "begging your pardon" for perhaps perceived slights and transgressions.
I get my face ready to show my seeking their acceptance of my apology, or my willingness to accept theirs.
No, none of this. What an old fashioned girl I am.
In my city the insanity is law. To mask is law in all public indoor locations. But, to dine indoors fully vaccinated only. Religious services as well or a 48 hour PCR test. On and off masking outside evidently based on whim. Some museums require only fully vaccinated. I refuse PCR test. I refuse vaccination My present concern is fibers in masks. I likely have one on one hour per day. Even so, paranoia is great.

Appreciate your thoughtful writing Stegiel.
"What's in the phials?", has been one of my stuck record rants.

My mindset means that I don't even know what the "law" is anymore.
