This author is not I. He wrote on the Allen Ginsberg site whose url I posted at bottom. Sorry to mislead. " Here’s Allen’s account of the whole First of May story, as recounted in 1993 when I interviewed him for a documentary for Czech tv."
I have though met and had as the house guest of my roomate in the Mission the famous modern Russian writer Victor Pelevin. I met and was friends with a son of Woody Gutherie, not Arlo, Joady. Culturally once in a lifetime Strindberg play in New York shortly before 9/11 performed by the Royal Academy of Sweden directed by Ingmar Bergman. Amazingly, the work is on Youtube. 😁

My roomie met him in Moscow on the subway. He has been employed by UC Bancroft library as a book buyer. We went our different ways He moved to Berkeley, married due to impregnating his girl, rarely did we see each other prior to Covid and sfter he fully injected and boosted made excuse too dangerous to meet since I did not vax.
He was South African Canadian. Mom and Dad from SA.
