Inventing and producing more of more efficient machines that tear apart the biology of the planet that resisted entropy is not wise. Obviously, the hierarchy of humans as has existed for some 5500 years was not a wise invention either.
Not technology, but human hubris and greed escaped all control. they cannot stop their race to the edge. They cannot stop to invade every earthly corner with the so called free market. Inept and uneducated people whose only goal in life is to make more and more money (their suprem goal is to be the richest man on the planet) took over all domains, including the ones where real value cannot be translated in money (human life itself, art) and destroyed everything. Of course, they will not be the ones who will pay for this. How these people were allowed to take control? there is a glitch in the system. there is an error at the foundation of the modern world. this error should be removed. not by going back, which is impossible, but by reinstating the spiritual dimension of man. Technology can be a useful tool, if used for the good of many, not for their control. I agree it sounds utopian these days.
