All about a Homeland for the Palestinians with the Russians, Ukrainians, and Poles. Sharp discussion about Zionists fighting for Pan-Slav freedom next year in Tehran instead of Kiev as planned by Poland and Ukraine. Evidently Madagascar turned down the population replacement. No one wants Uganda except the Chinese who pointedly are not invited to the Glasgow chats. Russia looking at economic development as much as human rights suggested repopulating Harbin with Palestinians. The British representative, Lord Abu Saud -the real King of Scotland- was very interested diplomatically but would not commit. Finally my opinion. The few, the proud, the super rich, the hyper-connected of the hyper-connected world gamble with our lives. For many years of my life, from the child writing protest letters about Vietnam, then later creating a novel protest/fund raiser for Homeless Shelters with Students United For Peace called Hands Around the Capitol (Sacramento) and then the Nuclear Weapons Freeze. The latter group I will say was silly. I was on the local board of the local chapter in Sacramento despite my strongly favoring Disarmament first. I had read Erich Fromm. In 1963 he said disarm one bomb at a time. SO EZ.

Ain’t complex. Nuclear Weapons Freeze was, sadly, very upper middle class, very white, and struggling with a Jacamo inside their head. I guess giving up overkill first then Freeze and continue to get as many atomics as possible out of service globally was intellectually impossible. Well even then I smoked dope but, I ain’t dumb. Anyhow ultimately to the end of Gulf War 2 when collapsing into cynicism and economic survival I dis-engaged professionally with causes and organizations and most of what I decided then and now was useless.
