One thing you learn when you put out bird seed, is that the birds have their power trips and hierarchies just as we do, and you watch those play out in generally pecky but peaceful ways. The birds fight much less over the food found in the wild, its the food we put out that seems to be instigate these conflicts. So I have come to the conclusion that the problem is the birdfeeder, and the dependence on humans it can initiate. Letting plants go to seed and remain standing all winter is a much better, less fought over, fresher source of food than a feeder. Extrapolate.

Fair enough I guess.

If freedom is what we want then freedom to choose evil is fair enough.

As in freedom of speech doesn't need to be nice speech.

How to discourage people choosing evil that injures one is another matter.

Consequences.
