AI’s speed shocks even its architects. Effective compute is doubling every 3.5 months, pushing systems toward top-expert performance. But that’s not the ceiling—it’s the launch pad. Agentic tools, self-reinforcing loops, and trillion-dollar data centers are aligning. From law to libraries, warfare to wellness, education to economics, every institution will shift or shatter. The UI is dead and privacy has become a relic, leaving governance is scrambling. AI is already training on reality.

UI is user interface, I think. Def. not dead for me.
AI is definitely useful.
No worse than asking Wikipedia maybe.
I notice Google gives an AI response first, when it used to be Wikipedia.
One plus with AI will be the taking down a peg or two of doctors and lawyers and other*experts*.
That's also the big plus of the COVID that experts have lost their status.
Just don't want to outsource our thinking.
