After reading the fine book Earth Abides doubtlessly my psychology growing up was bent. Fail Safe helped me out with that insanity driving public policy made explicit.

Going with the flow Kate Wilhelm wrote a very good novel Where Late The Sweet Birds Sang. The 1970’s then without doubt pressed like thumbs and fingers into brain clay. 50 years ago when 17 was Reality and the Vietnam slaughter is unending in real time a very very different world was drowning manunkind.

Now this world ends in the whimper of mass vaccinated people so afraid of death they hasten to fly to Samarra.
