I disagree. Partisanship is not why no strong grass roots resistance never blooms. In this country people are recruited by NGO’s to protest. There is the issue. People do not spontaneously gather and then organize. First they have to be organized around the “Cause.” Do we see any protests for peace like BLM? No. BLM had a great deal of government money to protest.
There are many reasons for not intelligently organizing grass roots resisting and not all are conscious. Many ordinary people believe in and have faith in protest as change. In one way it is like writing a check but in the other sense not frequently are check writers at protests. For about 5 years I was very involved in war protests. I was at the protest where Brian Wilson lost his legs when a munitions train ran over him. I was at the protest a few people away from Dolores Huerta who lost her spleen when riot police attacked her. None of these protests were violent. Police always are violent.
Bingo; both sides of the mainstream media (Conservative and Liberal) are owned and financed by the same side as well as both political parties. This is a strategy that has been used by governments for centuries. The Romans called it "Bread and Circus"!! It's all theatrics and the Greatest Show on Earth and we are the audience/victims.
