My position frankly is maximalist and worse still I doubt any State power has legitimacy other than as a hostage taker. As a “necessary” evil like say an mRNA vaccine I say thanks but no, no, keep your flag and wave it higher and higher with gusto and joy, but please go away and stop cheering in my ear. No government wants me free. All governments hold firmly to a concept I reject out of hand as not applicable. I did not assent to their logic or their rules. As a free man I insist that no compact binds me unless I am fully informed and completely assent.
