Interesting ideas. Took me a long time to not put a money value on the food I grow. For that time always comparing the production in monetary terms with the best price I could buy the same food at the store.

Collecting things comes naturally. Upsetting seeing things the same as one's own things in a second hand shop, or on eBay.

A fright to see how little or how much they appear to be worth.

As children my sister had a china mug with a bunny wearing a blue jacket. I coveted it badly and years later bought a second hand one. Too late, the value was not there.
