A blast against the Inhuman Presence

Since the Covid coup my readings in philosophy in a sense gave me a sturdy ground to stand upon. My readings over the years regarding the society of much and quick shifted strongly. Fist to Berdyaev, then Agamben, back to Illich whom I read in my 20’s and 30’s, to Unamuno also read in my early 30’s to Del Noce to C.S Lewis and others interested in the human.

As with September 11, 2001 my immediate response to the Pandemic was that a coup had occurred. Noting the homeless lived and were not dropping like flies and the illness appeared non lethal I accepted that fear and TV were enough to trigger hysteria and over-reaction without end. And even today the over reaction is strong. Very well then, other nations succumbed to the mind virus as well, marching in lock step so to say off the civilizational cliff into near savagery and open barbarism.

Felice Balbo writes “when society’s goal is no longer the ‘good life’ but ‘well-being,’ that is, the greatest possible satisfaction of tastes and appetites – it does not matter whether elementary and necessary or refined and alternative – philosophy becomes effectively superfluous ... When the habitual words that philosophers use to discuss their work and to assess philosophies are no longer primarily ‘true’ and ‘false’ but ‘important’ and ‘insignificant,’ ‘original’ and ‘banal,’ ‘heretic’ and ‘dogmatic,’ ‘sincere’ and ‘rhetoric,’ ‘progressive’ and ‘reactionary,’ and so on, we can say that trust in philosophizing as such, and not just in this or that philosophy, has been shaken to its roots.”

Dietrich Bonhoffer -The theology of the death of God begins to appear in the 30 April 1944 letter to his friend Bethge:

You would be surprised, and perhaps even worried, by my theological thoughts and the conclusions that they lead to ... The time when people could be told everything by means of words, whether theological or pious, is over, and so is the time of inwardness and conscience – and that means the time of religion in general. We are moving towards a completely irreligious time; people as they are now simply cannot be religious any more ... Our whole nineteen-hundred-year- old Christian preaching and theology rests on the ‘religious a priori’ of mankind. ‘Christianity’ has always been a form – perhaps the true form – of ‘religion.’ But if one day it becomes clear that this a priori does not exist at all, but was a historically conditioned and transient form of human self-expression, and if therefore man becomes radically irreligious – and I think that that is already more or less the case (else how is it, for example, that this war, in contrast to all previous ones, is not calling forth any ‘religious’ reaction?) – what does that mean for ‘Christianity’? It means that the foundation is taken away from the whole of what has up until now been our ‘Christianity’ and that there remain only a few ‘last survivors of the age of chivalry,’ or a few intellectually dishonest people ... if our final judgment must be that the western form of Christianity, too, was only a preliminary stage to a complete absence of religion, what kind of situation emerges for us, for the church? How can Christ become the Lord of the religion- less as well? Are there religionless Christians? If religion is only a garment of Christianity – and even this garment has looked very different at different times – then what is religionless Christianity?

Alexei Yurchak coined the term “hypernormalization” to describe something I believe many of us here are feeling – even if we lack the words to adequately explain exactly what it is we are feeling. Yurchak coined the term in the 1980’s to describe the dominant narrative in the final stages of the Soviet Union – a country that ceased to exist on December 26, 1991. What hypernormalization described is that from the 0.01% to the very bottom of society everyone KNEW that the system was not working, everyone KNEW:

- that there was enterprise corruption;

- that each level of bosses were looting the system;

- that the politicians had no alternative vision;

- that the bosses knew that the people were well aware of this;

- that everything (EVERYTHING) was fake

However, lacking any alternative vision for a different kind of society, EVERYONE just accepted this complete and total fraudulence as “normal” – and that is just the way things kept going until they suddenly and dramatically didn’t.  So to keep the fraud alive we go Green. Or we seek El Cid to save us. We do not want to help ourselves. Instead we accept any idiocy up to a point, a brand of beer made another point though and that was even in the end time of Capitalism the consumer can hurt a business that goes too far and crosses some invisible line.

Things fall apart; the center cannot hold;

Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,

The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere

The ceremony of innocence is drowned;

The best lack all conviction, while the worst

Are full of passionate intensity.

These elites are so insane in their quest for a planet with few humans and technological slaves that they feel that any exaggeration, any lie, any level of coercion, any harassment of people with opposing information, is completely justified, -the death of billions of people.  They think censoring free speech will work, that we will believe their lies instead of our own eyes.  And though I say this from my heart my head thinks otherwise. The insanity is not only elite. Ordinary people are Hypernormalized. Normalized to accept tacitly that the synthetic human is being designed to help them live forever and a day IF they can afford the technology. “We are moving towards a completely irreligious time; people as they are now simply cannot be religious any more ... Our whole nineteen-hundred-year- old Christian preaching and theology rests on the ‘religious a priori’ of mankind. “ And we are a species in Amnesia trapped by the dead hand of scientism.
