Facebook flags The Babylon Bee for “false information” over pregnant Ken doll satire
Think this through with me

Not much to say here save the double face palm is truly not expressive enough. As a routine victim of egregious censorship for movkery and a some time combatant in FB groups to while away my declining years promptly warned if I get too close to the Third Rail I am sympathetic. Karl Kraus and H.L. Mencken did not encounter Social Media. Yosssrian in Catch-22 was the fact checker prototype.
As one psych site observes “ It’s all about the users. Facebook is compelling because it manages to tap into our most primal needs. The users are regular people with flaws, weaknesses, and hang-ups - and to some degree, Facebook exploits them.
The New York Times - a newspaper with a 150-year history - has 4.7 million subscribers. That’s not even 1% of Facebook’s user base.
Data from CNN suggest that the news network garners around 1.2 million viewers for its nightly shows. Again, that’s not even 0.1% of Facebook’s monthly reach!
First Of All, Facebook Is Fundamentally A Social Advertising Platform.
When you watch CNN or hop onto the New York Times, you don’t care about what other viewers or readers are doing. Of course, Facebook is more than just a place for narcissists to engage in a perennial game of one-upmanship. Other motivations are driving the use of the platform.
Introverts, for instance, see it as a way to reach out and engage with others. The sociable and extroverted use it as a way to satisfy their cravings to connect. And the entrepreneurial view it as a way to build their brands.
But at root, you notice something interesting: it is rarely practical. It is all emotional. Psychologists break Facebook as having two fundamental emotional drivers, both of which relate to our evolutionary history. The first is the need to belong. The vast majority of people want to feel as though they’re part of a community. https://marketsplash.com/facebook-psychology/
Thanks. The serial abuse meted out by all social media companies is profound. Of course we are being exploited for our most human characteristics. It’s pretty clear what’s happening. Important to remember SS is one also. Here is the kind of stuff SS promotes:

Needless to say….!
Still have that 60 second (or more) delay thing going here for comments.
