One rotten fish called China is master of our Post-Pandemic planet. Republicans and Democrats like Chinese money. Treason for money. Kill populations of the globe so more money is in the hands of very rich. Hybrid Totalitarian USA seeks the approval of the CCP master and NONE DARE SAY TREASON. Which in a step back is a logical stance as if it is called treason no one profits.
The two faces of power 2: politics and economics
The lapidary phrase that Napoleon uttered when meeting Goethe in Erfurt in October 1808 is well known: Le destin c'est la politique : «destiny is politics». This affirmation, which was perfectly intelligible at the time, even if apparently revolutionary, has completely lost its meaning for us today. We no longer know what the term "politics" means, and even less will we dream of seeing our destiny in it. "Destiny is the economy" is rather the refrain that so-called "politicians" have been repeating to us for decades now. And yet not only do they not give up defining themselves as such, but the parties to which they belong continue to be called "political" and the coalitions they form in governments and the decisions they never cease to make declare themselves "political".
So what do we mean today when we pronounce, albeit without too much conviction, the word "politics"? Is there in it something like a unitary meaning or, rather, the sense that the term vehicle is constitutively split? The terminological uncertainty in the translation of the term politeia that we have already analyzed is not only recent. The Latin translation of Leonardo Aretino's Politics , published in Rome in 1942 together with Thomas' commentary, renders the term with gubernatio and respublica (more rarely with civitatis status ). If the passage we have quoted (1279 a, 25-26) in its Latin translation reads: Cum vero gubernatio civitatis et regimen idem significant…, in the previous passagepoliteia is instead rendered with respublica ( est autem respublica ordinatio civitatis ). In Thomas' commentary, who obviously had another translation before his eyes, politeia is sometimes translated with policia and sometimes with respublica . The proximity of the term policia with our "police" should not surprise: police is in fact, until the beginning of the nineteenth century, the Italian term that corresponds to politeia. «Police», we still read in the translation of Plutarch by Marcello Adriani, published in Florence in 1819: «means the order with which a city is governed and its communes are administered; and thus it is said that there are three police forces, the monarchy, the oligarchic and democracy».
In the German theorists of cameralism and police science, which takes shape and spreads in Europe during the eighteenth century, the science of the state becomes a science of government (Regierungwissenschaft), whose essential purpose is the Polizei, defined – with respect to the Policy, which is responsible only for the struggle with external enemies - such as the administration of the good order of the community and the care of the well-being and life of the subjects in all its aspects. And it is certainly no coincidence that Napoleon, who resolutely affirmed politics as destiny, was also the ruler who gave the modern form to the administration and the police with which we are familiar. The administrative state theorized by Sunstein and Vermeule, which is establishing itself in advanced industrial societies, is in its own way faithful to this model, in which the state seems to resolve itself into administration and government and "politics" transform itself entirely into "police". It is significant that, precisely in a state conceived in this sense as a "police state", the term ends up designating the least edifying aspect of government, that is, the bodies required to ensure in the last instance by force the realization of the governmental vocation of the state. And yet, the formal apparatus of the legislative state does not disappear, nor do the laws that governments continue to issue despite everything, nor are the offices and dignity that, according to the constitution, embody and safeguard the legitimacy of the system, abolished. . Regardless of its transformations, the essential bipolar nature of the political machine remains at least formally alive.

Energy Sec Granholm secretly consulted top CCP energy official before SPR releases

Granholm’s previously-undisclosed talks with China National Energy Administration Chairman Zhang Jianhua — revealed in internal Energy Department calendars obtained by Americans for Public Trust (APT) and shared with Fox News Digital — reveal that the Biden administration likely discussed its plans to release oil from the SPR with China before its public announcement.
According to the calendars, Granholm spoke in one-on-one conversations with Jianhua, who is a longstanding senior member of the Chinese Communist Party, on Nov. 19, 2021, and two days later on Nov. 21, 2021. Then, on Nov. 23, 2021, the White House announced a release of 50 million barrels of oil from the SPR, the largest release of its kind in U.S. history at the time.
“Secretary Granholm’s multiple closed-door meetings with a CCP-connected energy official raise serious questions about the level of Chinese influence on the Biden administration’s energy agenda,” APT Executive Director Caitlin Sutherland told Fox News Digital.
“Instead of focusing on creating real energy independence for America, Granholm has been too busy parroting Chinese energy propaganda and insisting ‘we can all learn from what China is doing,’” Sutherland continued. “The public deserves to know the extent to which Chinese officials are attempting to infiltrate U.S. energy policy and security.”
In a statement, the DOE said the meeting was broadly part of the agency’s effort to combat climate change, but didn’t share what was discussed at the meeting.
“Solving the climate crisis means engaging with competitors and allies in clear and substantive discussions — especially among the nations emitting the most carbon pollution into the atmosphere,” a DOE spokesperson told Fox News Digital. “We must all address the transnational challenge of climate change to our planet.”
As part of its announcement in November 2021, the White House said it was releasing oil from U.S. reserves in conjunction with “other major energy consuming nations including China.” However, President Biden said in remarks after the announcement that China “may do more as well” and Granholm told reporters during a press briefing that China “will make its own announcement.”

Republican leaders have warned that China, instead of releasing oil stocks, has increased its own reserves since Biden and Granholm’s announcement in November 2021. They have argued the SPR releases weakened U.S. national security and bolstered foreign adversaries’ “geopolitical leverage.”
“China ramped up its purchases of crude oil from Russia and the United States to boost its own reserves, even as oil prices surged and President Biden called for a coordinated release,” House Energy and Commerce Chair Cathy McMorris Rodgers, R-Wash., and former GOP Rep. Fred Upton wrote to Granholm last year.
“As a result, China may now control the world’s largest stockpile of oil, with total crude inventories estimated at 950 million barrels,” they added.
In addition, the White House and Department of Energy has been heavily criticized for allowing SPR sales to flow to Chinese state-run energy companies. The White House then fired back in July 2022, arguing that its hands were tied since it is legally required to sell SPR oil to the highest bidder.

The administration has sold at least two million barrels of oil from the SPR to Unipec, an affiliate of the state-controlled China Petrochemical Corporation. Jianhua, who met with Granholm in 2021, served in a leadership role for years at the China Petrochemical Corporation, Reuters previously reported.
The first such sale was part of a 20-million-barrel SPR sale awarded to eight companies in September 2021. The other two — both sales for 950,000 barrels of oil — came in April 2022 and July 2022, respectively.
Erich Fromm warned, “At this point in history, the capacity to doubt, to criticize and to disobey may be all that stands between a future for mankind and the end of civilization.”
Aye and your kind contribution helps me critique.
