An international co-production between the Soviet Union and Cuba, it was not received well by either the Russian or Cuban public and was almost completely forgotten. I saw it with some other Latin American screenings when I worked with San Francisco CISPES. I had worked for TecNICA previously-Ben Linder was murdered on our windmill project-and I worked for TecNICA because I had moved to the Mission and promptly involved myself in causes. I had done this in Sacramento of course after dropping out and a few years later dropping in to CSU Sacramento in the pious hope of my already sinking ship making it to a friendly shore. Death Squads, Nuclear War planning, Homelessness and Dulness my four targets! And when the summer door to door canvass in Sacramento trying to regulate percolates in irrigation water ended, we were switched to San Francisco. So in August of 1987 a room opened as my friend who had moved there in 1985 went hiking on the island of Skye for a few months. And faced as now with no job as the San Francisco canvass ended one month after moving and an expensive place to stay I found a job stopping Contra Aid. 36 years ago next month I came to stay here fleeing from Sacramento.
I am so glad I am not mercenary but an idealist. Even if my wager that the world of Bohemia has a bit beyond two years before catastrophe IF a gig arises in next 3 months. If not, I have no exit. Boat burning and a forced march strategy. A $300 gap between actual lived life with bills and food can be cut in half but the gap will not go away without work. I interview. I interview tomorrow. I recognize the actually existing situation as summer 2023 winds down is reasonable until the New Year. Havoc, shortages, riots, outrage, energy outages and possibly war are safely over the near 60 day Horizon I think.
And if I am wrong, I think only under age 65 need worry about combat in the Ukraine.

After spending years of funding, offshoring, coordinating, and delegating coronavirus gain-of-function research in China, the U.S. government has finally taken steps to curb their involvement in these unethical and inhumane experiments. On July 17, White House officials reached out to the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) to suspend taxpayer funding of coronavirus gain-of-function research at the Chinese lab.
This move comes three and half years after a global SARS-CoV-2 pandemic originated in Wuhan. With this move, the White House finally admits that the US government funded the infamous lab that was at the center of the Covid-19 scandal.
The Journal of Lingering Sanity fights for an audience on Substack. I am rightly enabling universal access to quality information not behind a paywall!
And of course in presenting the naked lunch Lingering Sanity is enabling the taste of the reader to come into play. As an information chef I am not the best at what I do, no no no, I am the only one who does what I do.

Reports in GERMANY that 72+ year old UKRAINE men are being trained to operate the new tanks in Germany, and built in Germany.
I do love Cuba; As a kid growing up in east LA we used to steal cars frequently, and drive them to Tijuana and just dump them there and find our way back,
Back then on the border entry to Mexico they would just wave you in
Coming back we would walk in, and if you looked like a USA person, they would just wave you through
Once in TJ we would take flights to Cuba, or anywhere we wished, everything was cash an no ID or passport required.

What's amazing to me is a bunch of 14-16 year old kids driving up & down I5 to san-diego and never got stopped, nothing, the only time people got arrested was starting fights in TJ bars, always same problem, my friends wouldn't pay for the bar price of ten cent beers wanted to buy it outside for a nickel, and of course the bar owners would call the cops; I would always step across the street when the fighting started, just a survival instinct.
As a child the Samoans would always take out whips and swing in radius with knives on the end of the whips, I learned very young to never be near or on the inside of a 'gang fight', natural human curiosity to stick your head inside, .... lethal
The jails in TJ were terrible, rats, concrete covered shit with a hole in center of small room with dozens of guys covered in shit in their street clothes the gaurds would just hose the place down, and nobody got out until you paid your $35 USD, I spent a lot of time Returning to LA and getting money to get my friends out from their parents; Most of the people in the cells in TJ were USA mil sailors, that came down for a weekend drunk and get into fights and tossed into jail, usually an officer would sweep the TJ jails once a week and get people out and send them back to USA for awol.

Cuba was mostly about the beaches, Mexico was mostly about the cheap cocaine, and donkey shows.

The reason I liked CUBA is that they had kicked out the USA, and the whore houses and forced the ZOG MOB to move OP to Las-Vegas, and that the Cuban people were quite happy and living well, but as a tourist-kid, it was way cleaner and more interesting than TJ; In those days you could just walk into an airport and fly to belize, honduras, guatamala ( really good for ruins & magic mushrooms ) or anywhere you wanted to go, the wait didn't seem long between flights
The buses were brutal, like 18 hrs to bus cabo-san-lucas (in those days a fishing village with no tourists), but just a few minute flight
